Rookie of the Year
FB/LB Marrio Grier
Led the league, and the Cobras, in rushing with 117 yards before injuring his ACL and MCL at Florida on May 14.  He still ended up leading the Cobras in rushing for the season.  Grier scored the game-winning touchdown on a 28-yard run at Los Angeles in the Cobras' first ever victory.  Other awards: CZ Game Ball (at Los Angeles, at Tampa Bay)

Offensive Player of the Year
QB Fred McNair
Joined the Cobras on May 30 from Florida in exchange for Jim Arellanes and Jack Jackson, and led the team to two victories and near-wins against Arizona, Orlando, New England and Tampa Bay.  He threw for 20 touchdowns in his final three games, including eight in the last game of the season vs. the Storm.  Other awards: MVP of the Game (vs. New Jersey), CZ Game Ball (at Orlando, at New England), N&O Offensive MVP

Defensive Player of the Year
DS Adrian Lunsford
After being traded from the Predators, stepped into the Cobras' defensive backfield and, with Reggie Carthon, led the unit's improvement.  He recorded seven tackles in his first game against Nashville, and again against Houston, when he also forced a fumble.  Lunsford also came up big on special teams, returning two kickoffs for touchdowns, including a 54-yarder against Houston.

Lineman of the Year
OL/DL Jerry Sharp
One of the few players active in every game for the Cobras, primarily playing center on offense and nose tackle on defense.  He broke up a pass in the first game of the season and caused a fumble at Los Angeles.  Sharp had his best game of the season vs. Nashville, when he recorded five tackles, three of them solo.

Ironman of the Year
WR/LB Cornelius White
Expansion draft selection was another of the few Cobras to play in all 14 games.  He led the team in receiving touchdowns, and had his best offensive game in Arizona, where three of his four catches went for scores.  White was also the leading tackler on defense, and he notched a pair of interceptions.  He had eight tackles in the first game of the season and forced two fumbles vs. Nashville.  Other awards: Ironman of the Game (vs. New Jersey), CZ Game Ball (at Florida, at Arizona), N&O Ironman of the Year
