Originally drafted as a defensive end by the Bears in the sixth round (198th
overall) of the 1995 NFL draft... Spent four seasons in Chicago and played
in 31 games with 10 career starts… Played in 11 games and posted 11 tackles,
including a sack, in 1998… All of his 10 career starts came in 1997 when
he replaced an injured Alonzo Spellman at right defensive end... Produced
his best seasonal numbers that year with 52 tackles, 0.5 sacks and a fumble
recovery… His fumble recovery at Miami (10/27/97) led to the game-winning
field goal... Finished the 1996 season with five tackles in five games
and forced a fumble against Green Bay (10/6/96)… Placed on injured reserve
for the entire 1995 season after suffering severe dehydration in camp...
Also spent time with the Broncos in 1999

Finished his career ranked
second on the school's career sack list (22.5) and tops in tackles for
loss (45)… Amassed 205 tackles in his 37-game career… Named Second Team
All-ACC and team MVP as a senior in 1994… Racked up 14 tackles for loss
(5th in ACC) and six sacks (6th in ACC) among 77 total tackles and nine
QB pressures as a senior
